Getting Started

Learn the basics of Veluvanto in 5 minutes

What is Veluvanto?

Veluvanto is an AI-powered document archive. Instead of creating folders and sorting documents manually, you simply upload a file — and the system reads it, tags it, and makes it searchable automatically.

You can find any document by typing what you remember about it — the supplier name, an amount, a date, or even a phrase from the content. You can also ask questions like 'How much did I spend on office supplies last year?' and get an instant answer.

How to Sign In

Open Veluvanto in your browser. You will see a sign-in screen. Click Continue with Google or Continue with Microsoft to sign in with your preferred account.

Uploading Your First Document

After signing in you will land on the Dashboard. To upload your first document:

  • Click the Upload button at the top of the left sidebar (it has an upward arrow icon).
  • A file picker opens — select the document from your computer and click Open. You can also drag the file directly from a folder on your desktop and drop it into the upload area.

After uploading, a spinning indicator appears in the top-right corner while the AI reads and analyses the document. This usually takes a few seconds. Once finished, the document appears in your document list with tags and metadata already filled in.

Finding Your Way Around

The screen is divided into two main areas:

  • Left sidebar — contains the Upload button, main navigation links (Dashboard, Search, AI Assistant), and smart filters organised by date, tags, and entities.
  • Main area — shows the current page: your document list on the Dashboard, search results, or the AI Assistant window.
  • At the bottom of the sidebar you will find links to Archive, Trash, Workflows, and Settings.
  • Click Settings (gear icon) at any time to manage your account, team members, or integrations.

What You See on the Dashboard

After signing in you land on the Dashboard. Here is what each area shows:

  • Recent Documents — the last files you uploaded or opened, so you can quickly continue where you left off.
  • Pinned Documents — files you have marked with a star for instant access.
  • Upcoming Reminders — deadlines and reminders attached to your documents. Overdue ones are shown in red.
  • AI Suggestions — after a document is analysed, the AI may suggest tags or a reminder. Click Confirm to apply the suggestion or Dismiss to ignore it.

At the top of the Dashboard you will also see a workspace selector if you belong to more than one workspace. Click it to switch to a different workspace.
